Bio
My name is Mireille Mathurin, the proud founder and owner of That Woman Like Me Inc.™ As a seasoned Business Coach, an Author, Entrepreneur, and experienced Banker, I have been privileged to wear many hats in my career.
My mission is to uplift both men and women in the music industry, empowering them with the confidence and resources to build and grow their businesses. Born in Haiti and brought up in Africa, I have a multicultural background and am proficient in several languages. This has enabled me to communicate and work with diverse groups of people effectively.
I strive to guide musicians in safeguarding their brand, their names, and their music. My goal is to equip them with comprehensive knowledge about the business side of the industry, fostering their independence and self-sufficiency. This is crucial in forming their own team and ensuring they remain in control of their creative output.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, focusing on Finance, Economics, and Investment. This laid the groundwork for my illustrious career, which included managing a high-profile banking branch in Midtown Manhattan and working in a private banking group at a prominent institution.
I have had the honor of working with clients such as Frederic Valcourt, a gospel singer; Chardavoine, a jazz guitarist; Edy Brisseaux, a pioneer of the Raklasikobop movement; and Bazilik, a renowned musical band. These relationships highlight the breadth and depth of my experience in the music industry, and my commitment to helping artists of all backgrounds navigate the complex business side of their work.
